My name is Mat Walker and over the past 15 years, I've worked with dozens of businesses and organisations, helping them deliver better products and services to their users through solid design and research methodologies.

I’m a versatile and motivated experience designer with expertise in service design, user research, digital strategy, design leadership, product and UX design. My passion lies in creating exceptional experiences that positively impact users' lives.

What I’m looking for

I prefer to work on longer term engagements where there is a specific goal or endpoint to the project and something where there is a challenge or problem that needs solving.

I'm happy to work solo if the project dictates, but I'd much rather be embedded as part of your team. I can also help with mentoring and leading teams if needs be, either in a formal or informal capacity.

If what you've got in mind doesn't quite fit into the work, I usually do get in touch anyway. Chances are, if I can't help, I'll know someone who can.

I'm based in Brighton (UK) and am happy to work in your offices or remotely, whatever we feel would be most beneficial for the project.
